Pretty snazzy, no? This coming on the tails of the new Wonder Woman DTV cartoon, which was fantastic. (Thank you, Warner Premiere, and please continue to unite Keri Russell and Nathan Fillion in things.) It's too bad that they name them for you; I was attempting to create a legitimate superhero for the Scottish folk. Yes, I would have named her "The Enterprising Scot," and she probably would have a totally awesome accent and be more concerned with beer than saving the world. The Crossbow is enchanted, and it's named Culloden.

I'm having too much fun with this, and I find it great that I can create a female hero who's not only fully-clothed but also hews close to what I was envisioning in the first place. Oh, I think I've found a new way to occupy the day...

With a flair for the dramatic, I've started blasting the Newsies soundtrack.

Tomorrow is the day. My first movie. In stores. Everywhere except Los Angeles. (Stupid wildfires.)

Holy crap. We're going there. We're doing this. Let me never ever say that I'm lagging behind, because this is where I have always wanted to be. No parties yet, no big red carpets, but this is beyond step one. This is huge. I don't know how to process this, really, because I always thought that a process like this would involve more days on a set or men in suits or something like that.

So, um, I just finished NaNoWriMo in twelve days.

I don't know if it's a record or not. I know that it's eighteen days faster than I did it last time, and that my hands hurt. A lot.

Now I'll wait a bit, and start editing it, because there are about a jillion spelling errors.

I love when ideas for stories show up only when you don't have time to write them. I ended up scribbling down a few lines of dialogue while on line at the bank this morning, taking out one of the deposit pens and writing in the white spaces of a brochure. So now I've got an advertisement for Better Banking with the words "YOU TELL THEM I'M COMING" scribbled hastily across the top. It must look like the work of a madman.

In other news, I've been so pissed over the end of the last season of Doctor Who that I've started work on fanfic. Yes. I'm writing fic. And probably showing it to people for the first time ever. So there's that. Expect that epic terribleness to show up here in a few days.
